We pride ourselves on doing a terrific Home Inspection Report – filled with useful information. There are two parts of our inspections we think bear your additional attention: the summary section and the energy efficiency assessment piece.

As we completed hundreds of inspections, we noticed that Realtors, home buyers and sellers, and lenders pay closest attention to the summary section. We work hard to make sure that section tells the story of the most important issues concerning each home.

We also take pride in our explanations of our findings – our conversations with you. In those conversations we learned that you’re nearly always concerned with energy efficiency issues. We’re delighted to talk about these issues because we notice them as we go about our inspections. More and more these days energy efficiency effects our daily life. You tell us your concerns about comfort issues, high utility bills, and possible safety hazards.

And, we’re just passionate about energy efficiency.

That’s why we include an energy efficiency assessment in every home inspection we do.

Our findings open the door to your deeper understanding of how your home works energy-wise and what you can do about it. We look for opportunities to target leveraged upgrades, and we call out comfort issues as well as energy waste that reflects in your utility bills.

This work led us to do a lot of research around energy efficiency. We now consider ourselves experts in this field. We are certified to perform full energy assessments. In this capacity, we work with homeowners, lenders, and contractors. Energy efficiency is an exciting field!

Along the way we’ve met some terrific contractors and lenders. It’s been our pleasure to help everyone understand how to prioritize energy efficiency improvements – and how to pay for them. We do our best to stay on top of the many rebates and financing options available in the market today. That’s no small task since this area is changing constantly!
